VATE's TMPD service offers professional development activities to suit the needs of individual schools, clusters of schools or whole regions. We will tailor the professional development to suit your needs, and will negotiate a satisfactory time and place. As many of our presenters are classroom teachers, sessions are usually organised for after-school. However, we are also able to source presenters for sessions during the school day (PD days). Our presenters can come to your school, or present in our Conference Room in Collingwood. See the booking form for further details.

Some of the TMPD offered in the last eighteen months has included: Overview for Units 3 and 4 English; Writing across the curriculum; Context workshops; Overview of Unis 1-4 English; Preparing junior students for VCE; Podcasting for beginners; Study skills for students; Teaching grammar; Teaching film as text; Introducing English Language.

Please note that TMPD is for teachers. For students we offer Student Orientation Lectures in March and Student Revision Days in September/October. Please see our Student Progams page for more information.
