The Victorian Association for the Teaching of English is a professional body established to promote the interests of English education and to allow English educators in Victoria to exchange ideas.

VATE brings together teachers in government, Catholic and independent schools, as well as tertiary educators and pre-service teachers.

Early Career Teachers' Network

Meeting 2: Working with literacy and engagement issues in the English classroom

Monday 22 May

The Early Career Teachers’ Network offers graduate and early career teachers of English an opportunity to:

  • network with their English teaching colleagues;
  • engage in targeted professional learning; reflect on their work;
  • discuss keys aspects and challenges of the English curriculum;
  • join an online professional network; feel supported as a new member of the profession;
  • acquire professional learning hours towards VIT accreditation.
